Universities Snooker
Irish Intervarsity Championships
The Irish Intervaristy Snooker Championships are held annually at the beginning
of December.
In 2007, the Irish Universities Championships was held for the first time at Spawell
Golf Centre in Templeogue, Dublin. The snooker tables at Spawell are of the highest
quality and have helped to ensure the continued success of the tournament. Previously,
the championships were held at Celbridge Snooker Club in Celbridge, Co Kildare,
which has long been recognised as a top tournament venue.
NUIM "A" (Maynooth) are the current team champions.
The individual title is held by Tom McKeown, also of NUIM.

HESPC Home Internationals/BUSA Home Nations
The Home Nations and Home Internationals Tournaments bring together teams selected
from the best players from all universities in each country to compete for the titles.
The Home Nations tournament is contested by the four UK nations, with the Home Internationals
Tournament also being contested by the Republic of Ireland.
The tournament takes place on the first weekend of April each year, with the venue
rotating amongst the participating nations.
This year, the tournament was held in Belfast, where the hosts were triumphant with
a nail biting victory over England.
The individual Masters title was won by Jonny Williams of the Republic of Ireland
