Northerners dominate at Pool Intervarsities! Queen's University Belfast regained the HESPC intervarsity title by defeating holders Dundalk in the final, while a superb Chris Beattie of Belfast Met. foiled Stephen Dempsey's attempt at a second individual title. Full results from the intervarsities, Ireland's largest pool tournament, are now available via the "pool" page.
HESPC, the official governing body for higher education snooker and pool on the island of Ireland, is a voluntary, non-profit organisation that promotes cue sports in the HE sector and encourages competitive international fixtures with teams from Great Britain. Our two major events each year are the snooker intervarsities, held before Christmas, and the pool intervarsities at the start of February.
